Germany Car Rental

When in need of a Germany car rental, foreign born drivers will need to know a few things about the available vehicles. Many of these rental companies have a wide variety of vehicles from which to choose, but tourists from the states may need a few pointers to get them started.

Micro Cars: Europe is the land of small cars, and some of these make a Ford Festiva look spacious. Micro cars are the smallest of these available for a Germany car rental. These tend to seat one, or two at the very best. While small, these are sport and fun little cars to drive and some have even begun making inroads into the States.

Economy Cars: These are for the most part what the population of Europe drives; small cars that can seat up to four, though with limited room. There are many brands offered for Germany car rental, though Volkswagen and Opel will be two of the heavy favorites for a Germany car rental.

Sedans: While there is not a terribly huge selection of sedans from which to choose, they can be found. If you select this type of vehicle, be careful. Germany, and Europe as a whole, has very narrow streets, very limited parking and many different traffic laws that what some drivers may be used to.

Sports Cars: You’ll find quite a few of these, especially in German car rental offices near some of the more famous freeways. Don’t expect a huge offering of American cars, though, you’ll find Alpha Romeo, Volkswagen and Audi predominantly throughout the nation, though other makes and models do put in an appearance.
